LOGAN, UTAH – Tonn-O-Rac, the cargo rack system designed to work with a soft tonneau cover, is now available from Downey Products for 2008 Chevrolet/GMC pickup trucks including the Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, and Canyon.
The Tonn-O-Rac is compatible with Downey Products’ soft tonneaus (SST, LTD, SE, and Top Spin), as well as many other name brand covers. Users are able to access their truck bed without removing the rack or its contents by simply rolling back (Top Spin), flipping up (LTD), or unfastening (SST, SE) the cover.
Each Tonn-O-Rac includes two side rails, two crossbars and four standoffs — available in 10”, 24”, or 27” heights to suit owner preference — as well as all hardware required for installation. Installing a Tonn-O-Rac virtually doubles a truck’s cargo carrying capacity. With the addition of a cargo basket or carrier accessory (sold separately), pickup owners can bring along the gear they used to leave behind — including bicycles, skis, snowboards, canoes, and kayaks — while maintaining full use of the truck bed. Rated for up to 300 lbs. of cargo, Tonn-O-Rac is also ideal for tackling light construction jobs, such as transporting ladders and two-by-fours.
Tonn-O-Rac installs directly to the tonneau rail system with crossbars that can be easily adjusted or removed. Constructed from aluminum, the rack components feature a durable black powder coat finish for a professional appearance. All supporting hardware is manufactured from stainless steel.
