TORRANCE, CA – Work Truck magazine recently hosted Jeff Wyatt, president CEO of Venchurs, Inc. at its Torrance, Calif. headquarters office to discuss and showcase the company’s newest bi-fuel CNG Ford F-250.
"We've worked with OEs on the traditional Venchurs side for over 30 years, we know that space and how it works which has been key to our Ford CNG conversions. Our conversions truly are OE level quality. Look under the hood. Unlike other systems, you can't tell where the OE products end and where ours begin. That's the point. It's seamless," according to Wyatt, whose father founded the company more than 35 years ago.
The Venchurs CNG program includes both dedicated CNG systems, as well as Bi Fuel systems. The Bi Fuel system allows for a seamless, “on-the-fly” switching of the fuel supply and offers a total fuel range of up to 650 miles. The Alternative Control Module communicates with the factory control system, and because Venchurs is a Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) for Ford, the original powertrain warranty is maintained.
Each CNG conversion will be performed at the Venchurs’ state-of-the-art 135,000 square-foot conversion facility in Adrian, Mich. VVS is dedicated to quality—the converted Ford vehicles maintain their original warranty and all conversions are monitored and inspected by QC technicians.
"Another great thing about Venchurs is that we have another segment of the business that does vehicle upfits and customization. If you're ordering a CNG work truck and you need beefed up suspension, heavy duty tires, bed mounted racks… whatever it is, we can make that happen. We're a one-stop shop and that saves the customer time and resources," Wyatt said.
Venchurs has also launched a CNG Ford truck demo fleet, where work truck fleet managers and buyers can put the new technology to the test. The demo currently consists of approximately 15 units.
