Electric utilities have sent workers and equipment to Puerto Rico to meet mutual aid agreements. The plan to send assistance was first announced in late December 2017.
Electric companies are shipping out equipment and vehicles now, and workers are scheduled to begin work in mid-January. With this addition, there will be more than 5,500 workers in Puerto Rico.
