Coda Holdings has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The company is exiting the automotive marketplace and plans to restructure to focus on the energy storage business.

LOS ANGELES – CODA has started production of its five-passenger electric mid-size sedan. The company said it will offer a 10-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty for the vehicle and a U.S. base MSRP of $39,900.
The CODA four-door sedan will be powered by a 33.8 kwh lithium-ion battery pack, and accelerates 0-60 in less than 11 seconds.
