FedEx Corp. is expanding its fleet to add 1,000 Chanje V8100 electric delivery vehicles, buying 100 from Chanje Energy and leasing 900 from Ryder System.
Ryder System has ordered 500 Chanje Energy battery-electric panel vans and will add the medium-duty vehicles to its ChoiceLease truck leasing program, the company has announced.
Chanje's electric cargo van will certainly have great appeal among delivery fleets concerned with their carbon footprint, but at the end of the day it's a big, nicely setup delivery van that just happens to be electric.
Chanje Energy unveiled its Class 5 battery-electric commercial van at an Oct. 18 media and customer event in Fullerton, Calif.
