Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. launched and demonstrated its new line of production ready, bolt-on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for medium duty trucks at NTEA’s 2013 Work Truck Show in Indianapolis on March 6-8, 2013.

The new CNG systems for medium-duty trucks incorporate the company’s ultra-light Q-Lite CNG storage systems and are available in configurations ranging from 24 to 64 gasoline gallon equivalent capacities. The systems have integral fuel receptacle, pressure gauge, safety systems including shut-off valves, pressure relief device(s) and pressure sensors, and fuel metering subsystems, including pressure regulator and thermal management, the company stated. Available fuel system configurations include single, dual and triple module systems to accommodate a number of medium-duty truck platforms.

"Quantum's new medium-duty CNG fuel systems are designed to provide a bolt-on solution to quickly outfit a truck to operate on CNG," said Brian Olson, President and CEO of Quantum. "Quantum's systems are specifically designed for ease of installation, safety, durability and to provide maximum value and operational ease for our customers."
