WASHINGTON – Altec Industries is recalling 141 2012 model-year aerial-device vehicles built on the Navistar TerraStar chassis, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The Altec-installed torsion bar increases the ride height of the front suspension and, as a result, may cause the vehicle to change steering direction when the vehicle hits bumps.

To remedy the problem, Altec will install an updated bracket and spring kit. There will be no charge for this service. Altec can be reached at 1-877-462-5832.

This recall covers 2012 model-year AT200A, AT235, AT235P, AT30-G and AT40M/P models.
