Drivefleet, a provider of training to commercial fleet vehicle drivers and managers, will use Meridian Knowledge Solutions’ human-capital technology platform to deliver mobile and e-learning driver education.

“We looked at more than 20 learning management systems before choosing Meridian’s software; it has power and flexibility including the capability for us to brand it in different ways,” said Rich Radi, chief executive officer of Drivefleet.

According to Radi, in addition to using Meridian’s software as Drivefleet’s backbone for learning, the platform allows Drivefleet to offer fleet managers an online tool to manage their employees’ training plans and provides access to real-time management information.

“Drivefleet and its technology partner Novigy asked us to develop mobile and e-learning driver training courses that organizations could buy online,” said John Leh, vice president of sales and marketing for Meridian. “Drivefleet wants fleet drivers to have an online, interactive training experience that engages students and provides powerful management tools; our software gives them a scalable, function-rich environment for reliably delivering this experience to their customers.”

“With Meridian, we can deliver dynamic, online content that engages fleet drivers through a wide range of content including defensive driving, eco-driving, distracted driving and more,” added Radi. “The software will deliver our courses in a high-quality fashion to a large number of customers via an enterprise-class platform that people can access using a laptop, desktop or mobile device.”
