BRANCHBURG, NJ - The American Society for Quality (ASQ) recently recognized Kinedyne Corporation's Global Quality Director, Peter Miko, with its Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) designation. Specifically, this recognition confirms that Miko (pictured) - based at the company's New Jersey facility - has achieved an elevated level of proficiency in the discipline of Quality Management principles and practices.

Kinedyne Corporation's Lawrence, Kan., facility - which achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification of its Quality Management System (QMS) in 2008 and ISO 9001:2008 in 2010 - is Kinedyne's first U.S. facility to receive this internationally recognized quality management certification.

This ASQ designation can be earned only by those individuals with at least ten years of on-the-job experience in a Quality-related role and a minimum of five years experience in a decision-making position. Anyone with a Quality background who achieves this level of certification is deemed to have the skill set to facilitate and lead teams, monitor customer-supplier relations, and develop measurement systems designed to assess various functions within the organization.

"We've invested a great deal of time and effort in our Quality team and its various initiatives at our facilities around the world," says James Klausmann II, Kinedyne's Executive Vice President. "We are extremely fortunate to have Peter on board to lead that effort, manage key projects, and drive efforts to make us a quality-focused organization."

ASQ has been a leading authority on quality for more than 60 years. The association - with membership exceeding 85,000 - advances learning and knowledge in quality disciplines in an effort to improve business results and create better workplaces worldwide. As a champion of the quality movement, ASQ offers technology, tools and training to professionals, practitioners and general consumers.
