MELROSE PARK, IL - Under a recently signed multi-year agreement, Navistar Engine Group will supply an advanced V-8 turbodiesel to Capacity of Texas Inc., a leading maker of terminal tractors for cargo-handling applications. Beginning fall 2009, MaxxForce 7 engines will power Capacity brand terminal tractors.

"The MaxxForce 7 will provide Capacity customers with the most powerful, durable and environmentally friendly engines available in the market."

The V-8 diesels, made by Navistar in Huntsville, Ala., will be fully compliant with applicable EPA emissions standards. Capacity will offer two MaxxForce 7 models, one rated at 215 hp with 560 lb.-ft. torque, and one rated at 230 hp with 620 lb.-ft. torque. The terminal tractors will be manufactured at Capacity's Longview, Texas, plant.

Capacity terminal tractors are used to move freight in ports, rail yards, warehouses and distribution centers across North America and around the world.
