GREENVILLE, S.C. – As a result of continuing increases in raw material, energy, and transportation costs, Michelin North America Inc. will increase prices on its consumer, OTR, and industrial product lines, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. Replacement passenger and light truck tire prices will increase by up to seven percent on Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, private, and associate brand tires sold in the United States. The new prices will go into effect Mar. 3.

Earthmover and industrial tire prices, including items on back-order, will increase by an average of three percent on products sold in the United States and Mexico effective Feb. 1. Price increases on the company’s Michelin and BFGoodrich brand medium truck tires up to six percent and farm tires up to four percent increased on Jan. 1.

As previously announced, Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc.(up to eight percent) and Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (up to five percent) will increase consumer tire prices effective Feb. 1. Continental Tire North America Inc. will raise truck tire prices up to six percent on the same day.
