FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – PHH FirstFleet has launched a new predictive modeling service, which focuses on the need expressed by private truck fleets for new-driver safety analysis and training. The service uses techniques to predict which drivers’ behaviors are likely to cause accidents, and then helps prevent those collisions from happening.

PHH FirstFleet partnered with FleetRisk Advisors to develop the new approach to truck risk and safety. The predictive modeling analytic risk and safety service has already shown significant benefits in client pilot testing, according to PHH:
  1. Overall accident frequency is down by 23 percent.
  2. Average accident costs dropped 66 percent.
  3. Severity of related accident costs are down 67 percent.
  4. Driver retention has improved. Turnover is down from 84 percent to 42 percent.

Developed specifically for the transportation industry, PHH FirstFleet’s predictive modeling leverages advanced technology, integrates it with comprehensive client information about drivers and vehicle telematics data, and provides analysis and consultative expertise to help clients avoid costly accidents and litigation.

By evaluating driver and vehicle histories, PHH FirstFleet develops a model specific to each client’s business needs, operations, and systems. Deliverables include online reports of drivers ranked from high to low risk and the associated risk factors for each driver, as well as consultation around countermeasures and training to reduce high-risk driving behavior. The model also can incorporate fatigue within the model or as a stand-alone analysis. PHH FirstFleet provides monthly driver risk assessments and reporting customized to client needs.
