Diesel prices are starting a trend down again in all regions when compared to last year's prices. When comparing prices to just one week ago, all areas except for California dropped, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Prices dipped in late September 2019 after a height in prices around May.

Prices remain the highest in California at $3.98 per gallon average (including all taxes) with the Gulf Coast seeing the lowest price of $2.80 per gallon.

The difference between the most expensive and the least expensive region is more than a dollar per gallon.
