General Motors will offer plenty of optional equipment and features for its commercial fleet buyers in its 2020-model-year lineup, including its next-generation Chevrolet Silverado HD (2500 and 3500) pickups, according to the company.

"For 2020, we are launching our all-new HD pickup trucks, and we continue to have unique fleet order guides to provide greater ordering flexibility for fleets," said Dan Tigges, GM Fleet's Silverado and Sierra product manager. "The guides include fleet only packages that include less content and have a lower price. The guides also have more free flow options available than the retail order guide."

Among its other vehicles, GM will continue to offer an option to convert its Chevrolet Bolt EV into a small cargo van. Fleet users can acquire the vehicle with the rear seat delete package that's based on the LT trim grade. The incomplete vehicle then goes to an approved upfitter to be converted into a cargo van.

As part of the package, deleted equipment includes the upper and lower section of the rear seat, rear carpeting, rear-seat side-impact airbags and airbag trim, 120-volt charging cord, rear package shelf, and 17-inch alloy wheels. GM adds 16-inch steel wheels.

GM began offering the package in 2018.

GM will also offer two fleet-exclusive optional packages, including the WT Fleet Convenience Package and Fleet Comfort Package.

The convenience package for its pickup trucks includes remote keyless entry, cruise control, EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate, and outside power-adjustable vertical trailering with heated upper glass. A regular cab model with the package also adds power windows, express up/down driver power windows, as well as express down passenger windows and power door locks.

The fleet comfort package includes a 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar, heated driver and passenger seats, manual tilt and telescoping steering column, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 120-volt power outlet, 120-volt bed-mounted power outlet, EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear-window defogger.

Fleet-only options available with the Chevrolet Colorado LT extended cab pickup include deleting the rear seat and replacing carpet with vinyl flooring.
