Morgan Truck Body, LLC, manufacturer of light- and medium-duty truck bodies, announced the expansion of its manufacturing footprint in the Midwest in Orrville, Ohio, about 30 minutes west of Canton.

The new facility will be capable of producing a combination of 4,000 dry freight and refrigerated truck bodies annually, supporting both retail and fleet customers. Morgan expects to employ approximately 140 team members in a facility that will encompass roughly 210,000 square feet of production, office, and warehouse space. When combined with Morgan’s acquisition of Multivans in Bolton, Ontario, and the opening of a plant in Plainfield, Conn., in late 2018, the Orrville plant represents Morgan’s 14th in the U.S. and Canada.

Morgan has been a leader in Final Mile transportation solutions for more than 65 years.

“Morgan continues executing its aggressive growth strategy by launching innovative new products, penetrating new markets, and pursuing key acquisitions. This has resulted in record revenues, thus allowing us to expand even further with new production facilities,” stated Norb Markert, President and CEO.

A team including JobsOhio, Team NEO, Wayne Economic Development Council and the City of Orrville collaborated to ensure Morgan chose Northeast Ohio for its expansion.

“The City of Orrville is excited about the addition of Morgan to our community and look forward to building a strong partnership for many years to come,” added Mike Hedberg, Manager Orrville Office of Economic Development. “We greatly appreciate the efforts of the Wayne Economic Development Council, Team NEO and JobsOhio for their assistance in bringing this project to fruition.”
