Maintainer Corporation of Iowa announced plans to add a 28,800-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility to its Sheldon, Iowa campus. The expansion should increase the company’s production capacity by about 35%.

“We continue to see increased demand for our service trucks from our loyal customers,” said Maintainer President Shelley Morris. “In addition, our business development efforts give us confidence that we will continue to see growth for Maintainer in the future.”

The company plans to break ground this spring, with hopes of beginning production in the new facility by Fall 2019. It will be built on a plot of land purchased by the company list spring. Since the purchase, it has been used as a chassis prep area.

This will be the third major expansion for Maintainer in the past four years. A 7,800-sq.-ft. addition was completed in 2017 in response to increased demand for Maintainer’s mechanics trucks, lube trucks, and cranes. Before that, the company completed a 20,750-sq.-ft. addition in 2015. Last year,
