Bosch has introduced a new off-highway diagnostic cable and introductory software package in North America for the 3824 and 3824BSC ESI[truck] HD diagnostic tools, enabling technicians to diagnose and repair many non-highway vehicles and equipment. Coverage included with the new kit can help diagnose construction equipment, street sweepers, agricultural vehicles, and stationary engines.

The kit, 3824CBL-UPG, includes 10 cables for use on equipment from Caterpillar, John Deere, Kubota, Perkins, Volvo, Massey Ferguson, SISU, Deutz, Deutz-Fahr, and MTU as well as introductory software for off-highway vehicles for 3824 and 3824BSC owners.

Repair information and diagnostic capabilities cover vehicles and systems with a variety of information, specific to vehicle type and manufacturer, and include:

  • System coverage: Gearbox, HVAC, engine, steering, hydraulic systems, suspension, electronic modules, antipollution, central computer
  • Diagnostic coverage: Manual processes, diagnosis info, measurable values, component actuations, ECU data, parameter IDs (PIDs), calibrations and resets, system technical data, wiring diagrams, vehicle technical data and vehicle maintenance info
