Fleet customers can add several exclusive features to the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and more upscale GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks that are entering new generations, according to General Motors.

Buyers of the Silverado Work Truck or LT models among the eight trim levels offered will be able to add a trio of options not available to retail buyers. Chevrolet is initially offering the new 2019 Silverado as a crew cab model with regular-cab and extended-cab models coming later in the model year.

"Our customers want the perfect truck for them, not a ‘one size fits most’ truck," said Dan Tigges, truck product manager, GM Fleet. "We can customize our trucks for our customers' unique needs by offering eight trims levels, various fleet packages, and six powertrain combinations."

Fleet-only options on the WT trim of Silverado and Sierra include a Fleet Convenience Package with remote keyless entry, power lock and release tailgate with lift assist, cruise control, and power mirrors. Regular cab models will also include power windows, express up/down driver, power windows, express down passenger, and power door locks.

Other WT trim fleet options include the Safety Package that includes front and rear parking assist, lane change alert with a side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, and chrome front and rear bumpers.

Additional WT fleet options include a special services package for law enforcement, skid plates, and power seats.

The LT trim offers two fleet-only packages, including the Fleet Comfort Package and Safety Package II. Fleet Comfort includes a 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar, heated driver and passenger seats, a manual tilt and telescoping steering column, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 120-volt power outlet, 120-volt bed-mounted outlet, power lock and release tailgate with lift assist, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rear window defogger.

Safety Package II includes a forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, low speed forward automatic braking, front pedestrian braking, IntelliBeam headlights, and a following distance indicator.

Other LT fleet options include a power lock and release tailgate, 110-volt outlets, LED box lighting, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT tires.
