Derive Systems is adding two senior executives, including Karl Weber as senior vice president of enterprise sales and Tony Ahillas as senior director of enterprise sales, the automotive technology company announced.

Weber will be responsible for educating customers about the company's telematics solutions. He spent 10 years as the vice president of enterprise sales with Fleetmatics, which was acquired and merged into Verizon Connect.

Ahillas will be responsible for introducing the Derive product to more fleet and technical field operations groups. He worked under Weber at Fleetmatics. Prior to joining the company, he served as the enterprise sales director with Nauto, a Silicon Valley-based firm that developed a distracted driving product.

Derive is now offering its Derive VQ telematics platform that allows fleet managers to control a vehicle's engine and other control modules to optimize their operation based on pre-set preferences.
