Fleet FAQ? Fleet Management & Leasing

Q. What is an effective way to change driver behavior?

A. The best way to implement driver change is through a combination of education, data monitoring, and driver accountability. Things can’t change if your drivers aren’t aware of their initial infractions and the consequences they may carry. Real-time telematics data then allows you to track which drivers are adjusting and which are not. Finally, by keeping your drivers accountable for their infractions you can start to instill real change, and not just temporary adjustments. Remember, this doesn’t just mean disciplining offenders, but also rewarding those who have made improvements or are leading the change.
