Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc. (ICTA) is showing off its prestigious win as Work Truck magazine’s 2018 Medium-Duty Truck of the Year. Starting May 9, the automaker began putting a sticker featuring the truck’s winning cover imagery on every truck shipped from Charlotte, Mich. The stickers will be added through the remainder of the year. ICTA anticipates putting the sticker on more than 2,000 trucks.

“All of us at Isuzu are extremely proud of earning the 2018 Medium-Duty Truck of the Year by the readers of Work Truck Magazine and wanted to share our pride with everyone at our Isuzu dealers shopping for the Isuzu FTR,” said Shaun Skinner, president of ICTA.

The Class 6 FTR was launched at The Work Truck Show 2016. It’s powered by a 4HK1-TC 5.2L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine mated to an Allison 2000 Series automatic transmission. Its low-cab-forward design increases visibility and markedly improves maneuverability — especially important in the crowded city centers. In addition, it features eight wheelbase configurations to accommodate bodies from 16 to 30 feet, allowing for a variety of body applications and was designed with a clean back-of-cab.
