Fleet FAQ? Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Q. Is it true that you have to keep paper logs just in case the electronics fail to work?

A. Yes, as part of your packet of ELD user documentation that is onboard your vehicle, you must have an 8-day supply of paper logs in the event of an ELD malfunction or if the device is ruled non-compliant.

In either event, you will have 8 days to install a working or compliant ELD or be ruled in violation, cited, and placed out of service.
