The Kia Optima midsize sedan will offer more standard driver-assisting technologies and a revamped infotainment system in its 2019 model year refresh, Kia announced at the New York International Auto Show earlier this week.

Kia will offer four trim grades, including LX, S, EX, and SX when the vehicle goes on sale later this year.

Kia will offer new advanced driver assisting systems as standard equipment that will help lessen the severity of a collision, including automatic braking, a forward collision warning system, driver attention warning, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning.

The 2019 Optima will also offer new infotainment versions of its UVO play, UVO link, and UVO link with navigation. UVO play, which is standard on LX, will now offer smartphone connectivity via Apply CarPlay and Android Auto that can be activated with voice commands.

Pricing will be announced closer to the date the vehicle goes on sale.
