Hyundai will offer a battery-electric version of its Kona subcompact SUV that went on sale in February as part of the automaker's initiative to add more utility vehicles to its sedan-heavy lineup.
Hyundai will unveil the Kona Electric on March 28 during a press conference at the New York International Auto Show. Viewers can follow a livestream on YouTube here.
Other announcements include the fourth-generation 2019 Santa Fe compact SUV and refreshed Tucson compact SUV. The 2019 Santa Fe will go on sale in the summer.
The press conference will begin at 12:45 p.m. East Coast time at Hyundai's booth in the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
