Inland Truck Parts & Service of Wichita, Kan., recently stepped in to offer help when nearby Wichita-based Fleet Maintenance, Inc. was destroyed in a fire.

Fleet Maintenance, which has been a mainstay in Kansas truck service and repair since the mid-1960s, caught fire due to an explosion in their building. As a result, approximately 20 employees were left jobless. Inland was able to offer positions to the majority of the Fleet Maintenance employees, and at the same time expand the services and offerings of their Wichita store.

Greg Klein, CEO of Inland Truck Parts and Service, had this to say: "This combination solidifies our position as the leading independent service provider for the heavy-duty market in Wichita, but more importantly it allows us to extend a helping hand to people who were impacted by a tragedy. We are thrilled to add these highly qualified and dedicated employees to the Inland team."

The new employees will be part of a 100% employee-owned company. Inland Truck Parts & Service has been providing truck parts and service throughout the Great Plains for 74 years. At each of its 32 locations, Inland saidit emphasizes responsive customer service and local decision-making.
