Yokohama Tire Corporation’s newest addition to the Y67 off-the-road line-up is now available to underground mining operators and service managers. The Y67 comes in three new tread patterns proven to provide the traction needed for optimal performance and is available in sizes 36x11-15 24-ply, 32x15-15 28-ply, 35x15-15 32-ply, and 38x16-15 36-ply.

“The Y67 was created for the smaller, low-seam category and provides outstanding durability,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama corporate manager of commercial and OTR product planning.

Benefits of the Y67 include:

  • Cut and chip resistance for excellent wear and durability thanks to an advanced tread composition, while a non-directional tread design provides needed traction on tough, rocky underground surfaces.
  • The perfect balance between cut resistance and traction while providing superior tread life due to an optimized rubber-to-void ratio.
  • Enhanced performance in high-pressure applications made possible by dual bead construction that makes the use of a core optional, which reduces costs and balances the required strength of the bead and carcass.
