AMP Research PowerStep running boards are now available for the new 2014 model Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 series pickup trucks.

With a 600-pound capacity and rugged design, the PowerStep compliments the aggressive exterior profile and increased capabilities of these vehicles, by providing a retractable, LED lighted, extruded aluminum running board that makes it easy to enter and exit the vehicle, according to the manufacturer.

“Because the AMP PowerStep deploys and retracts when the doors open and close, it uniquely enhances the new exterior styling of the 2014 GM pickups, while providing the truck owner with the highest quality, power running board available,” says Mark Wronski Director of Marketing at AMP Research.

The AMP Research PowerStep utilizes strong die-cast aluminum–alloy linkage components, along with a military-spec anodized and Teflon® finish that resists corrosion.  Stainless steel pivot pins with maintenance-free, self-lubricating bushings allow the PowerStep to be reliable for daily commutes as well as extreme work-truck environments. AMP also offers optional stainless-steel trim that can be added to further enhance the PowerStep’s appearance.
