SuperSprings International introduced an easy-to-install, maintenance-free solution for light-duty vehicles equipped with snowplows, replacement bumpers, winches, and hitches.

New Coil SumoSprings slide between the turns of front and rear coil springs. Since their proprietary microcellular urethane material offers a progressive spring rate, they provide extra support for the suspension only when needed. A vehicle equipped with Coil SumoSprings will experience less side-to-side body roll, front-end dip and sagging without a compromised ride.

“Coil SumoSprings are made out of the same material as our SumoSprings ‘airless airbags’ and are designed to keep loaded vehicles level,” said Gerry Lamberti, SuperSprings International CEO. “A pair of Coil SumoSprings can be installed in less than an hour without any adjustment or modification to the original equipment. They are ‘fit-it-and-forget-it’ products that should last for the life of the vehicle without needing upkeep.”

The short, cylindrical Coil SumoSprings feature an “H”-shaped cross-section that helps hold them in place. The trapped air within the closed cells of the urethane provides up to 800 pounds of support. The material is able to combine that support with a smooth engagement for maximum driver comfort.

Coil SumoSprings offer potential benefits to several segments of the work truck industry. For example, they can be used to balance a half-ton pickup truck that sags each winter when a snowplow is added. They are perfectly suited for landscapers and contractors who do a lot of towing. In addition to pickup trucks, applications are also available for the Ford E150 and GMC G2500 vans and several popular SUVs.

“With Coil SumoSprings, you can enjoy all the benefits of an enhanced suspension without having to replace your factory equipment,” said Lamberti.

Coil SumoSprings are available to distributors in “Sumo Six-Packs,” which include one set of each of the six sizes currently available.
