Ingersoll Rand, a professional tools and equipment manufacturer, welcomed the latest addition to the IQV20 Series cordless tool family, the W5130 3/8" 20V Mid-Torque Impactool. Modeled after the W7150 1/2" High-Torque Cordless Impactool™, the W5130 offers high performance, long-lasting durability and the versatility to access tight spots in multiple locations.

Boasting 190 lb,-ft. of torque and a length of just 6.6" from tip to tail, the W5130 ranks best in class for its power-to-size ratio. The IQV20 Series battery platform allows the W5130 power levels rivaling a pneumatic tool — packed into the convenience of cordless. The lightweight and balanced design of the W5130 gives technicians the versatility to work on a variety of applications — from brake and suspension repairs to engine compartment and body panel jobs — and it has the power and speed to complete tough jobs quickly.

The W5130 is also designed for optimal durability. Product engineers at Ingersoll Rand created a patent-pending metal reinforced housing and patented steel reinforced frame to help prevent breakage. These features also protect against corrosive fluids and chemicals commonly found in a technician’s workspace.

“We understand professional technicians need a lot of torque to complete service work in the areas where larger tools cannot fit,” said Steve Jenson, global portfolio manager for cordless tools, Ingersoll Rand. “With that in mind, we took the DNA of the W7150 to create the W5130. It is not simply a tool, but will become a professional technician’s favorite piece of equipment.”

The W5130 runs off the patent-pending Ingersoll Rand IQV20 Series lithium-ion battery platform. The battery pack is compatible with the other tools in the series — including the W7150 and L5110 cordless LED task light, so technicians always have a freshly charged battery to get the job done. The W5130 was unveiled at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas. For more information, visit ingersollrandproducts.com/W5130.
