Time Capsule: Alkire-Naylor Cigar Co. Fleet Truck Circa 1913

Photo: Alkire-Naylor Cigar Co.

A fleet vehicle figured prominently in a 1913 advertisement for the Alkire-Naylor Cigar Co. of Salt Lake City, Utah, purveyors of the the Flor de Baltimore, "The peer of Havana cigars" as it proudly proclaims.

As this photo illustrates, fleet vehicles covered with bold designs have acted as rolling billboards for companies large and small for over a century.
