Seattle-based Droneseed has raised more than $5 million in funding, reports Geekwire. The company aims to battle reforestation by planting trees and keeping them maintained more efficiently than traditional methods with the use of drones.
The company has run several pilot programs, including one with Oregon-based utility Clean Water Services, who enlisted help from the company for a watershed restoration project.
