Custom Truck and Equipment (CTE) is recalling 15 2013-2016 model-year Dominator-Propane, Dominator I, Dominator II, Dominator III, and Dominator IV trucks manufactured from April 4, 2013, to Jan. 22 of this year.

The recalled trucks are all equipped with IMT cranes — models 6000, 7500, 8600, 9500, 10000, 12000, and 14000 — that have a valve bank cover that may crack and fall from the crane during transport, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

If the valve bank cover detaches from the crane it could be a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA said on its website.

CTE dealers will replace the valve bank cover with a thicker gauge cover. There will be no charge for this service.

The recall is expected to begin this month. Truck owners can reach CTE customer service at (888) 712-2962. CTE’s number for this recall is TB2016001.
