Kia Motors America showed its full-size Telluride SUV concept with three rows, a seven-passenger capacity, and plug-in hybrid powertrain at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Kia is describing the Telluride as a luxury SUV concept that will not enter production at this time. The concept vehicle employs a plug-in hybrid powertrain that includes a 3.5L direct-injected V-6 paired with an electric motor. The powertrain produces a total output of 400 hp and can achieve more than 30 mpg on the highway, according to Kia.

The Tellluride could give Kia a larger utility vehicle to slot in above its mid-size Sorento. Kia also offers the Sportage compact SUV.
