The Worthington Industries Pressure Cylinders segment has acquired assets from Trilogy Engineered Systems, a manufacturer of CNG fuel system components for the commercial truck market.

Trilogy’s extended-range hybrid back of cab models and vocational rail mount models will complement Worthington’s current top of body models and will provide the company with a wider portfolio of products for medium- and heavy-duty truck applications. Trilogy’s back of cab and rail mount configurations come in a variety of sizes.

Trilogy’s CNG fuel systems assembly assets will be integrated into Worthington’s Salt Lake City, Utah operation. The acquisition will also allow Worthington to take advantage of Trilogy’s distribution network of dealers and service centers.

“This acquisition accelerates the opportunity for growth in our alternative fuels business and supports our commitment to provide reliable high quality alternative fuel tanks and systems,” said Andrew Billman, president of  Worthington Cylinders. "It also increases our opportunity to partner with Trilogy’s established network of dealers and service centers, and provide value through the supply chain.”

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Worthington manufactures pressure cylinders for industrial gas and cryogenic applications, CNG and LNG storage, transportation and alternative fuel tanks, oil and gas equipment and other products.
