A Time Warner Cable employee in North Carolina died May 2 after his bucket truck came into contact with the power line he was working on, according to The Dispatch.

Christopher Jones, 37, was working on a line near U.S. Highway 64 East and was lowering the bucket when it came in contact with the power lines. His coworker, Donnie Herman, told The Dispatch Jones was operating a new truck, and his older truck was lower, which may have contributed to the incident.

A trainee was at the scene at the time of the accident and called 911. Rescue personnel initially had to get Jones out of the bucket before they could start to administer CPR. He was then transported to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center, reported The Dispatch.

Jones was a 10-year employee of Time Warner Cable -- a job which he loved very much, evidenced by comments from coworkers and customers posted on his online obituary page.
