Nissan has begun producing the e-NV200 battery-electric compact van in Barcelona with plans to begin sending it to a variety of global markets in June.
The e-NV200 will be first available in the European market, and later in other markets. FedEx is now testing the zero-emission van in the Washington, D.C., area. The vehicle will initially go into 20 global markets.
The e-NV200 is Nissan's second battery-electric vehicle, and it shares powertrain technology with the Nissan LEAF.
Barcelona is the first city to introduce the e-NV200 as a city taxi.
