A 17-year-old girl in Texas was hospitalized last week after the vehicle she was riding in collided with an Oncor utility truck, according to KLTV.

The crash occurred Feb. 11 in Tyler, Texas when icy road conditions caused the driver of a southbound Chevrolet Blazer to lose control of the vehicle. The SUV slid into oncoming traffic and hit a northbound Oncor utility truck, reported KLTV.

The young passenger was pinned and had to be removed by Tyler firefighters. She was taken to East Texas Medical Center and was last reported by KLTV to be in critical condition.

Both drivers suffered only minor injuries, as reported by the Tyler Police.
