• Breakdown: The right front lower control arm may contain a manufacturing defect that can cause it to fracture.

Daimler Vans

• Vehicles: 2023-2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
• Potential Units Affected: 1,232
• Component: Suspension
• Breakdown: The spring U-bolts for the rear axle may have reduced strength due to improper heat-treatment, which can cause the rear axle to shift out of position.

• Breakdown: The electronic power assist steering (EPAS) ground eyelet joint may experience corrosion, which can result in a loss of power steering assist.

• Breakdown: The windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach during a crash.

• Breakdown: The lock ring that secures the fuel pump to the fuel tank assembly may not have been fully locked during assembly, which can result in a fuel leak during a crash.
• Solution: Dealers will inspect and fully lock the fuel tank lock ring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 13, 2024.

Altec

• Breakdown: Inadequate clearance between the A/C hoses and the engine exhaust manifold may result in the hoses overheating.
