FRAM, an engine oil filtration products provider, introduced its new FRAM Ultra Synthetic oil filter, which now features an innovative 2-ply media design.

FRAM Ultra Synthetic is a high-flow filter, and its second-generation design features a new screenless media technology.

The previous generation included a metal screen in the media for structural support. It has now been replaced with a new, 2-ply material. One side consists of a synthetic blend for durable structure and filtering support. The other side is a fully synthetic media, which offers higher flow efficiency and improved filtration performance.

“We are excited to bring our updated Ultra Synthetic filters to the market,” said Carl Weber, senior director of Marketing. “The new dual-layer media material provides ultimate protection for up to 20,000 miles, delivering the reliable performance our customers have come to expect.”
