While nearly 47% of women in a recent survey conducted by Swedish autonomous and electric trucking Einride indicated that they would not be in interested in a career in trucking, nearly 52% of them said they would be interested if they could do it autonomously.
Einride surveyed 1,005 women and found that 45% of the women surveyed indicated that they would be interested in an autonomous trucking career, and nearly 52% of women who were not previously interested in a career in trucking said they would change their mind if they could do it autonomously.
About 45% of women surveyed said they would attend college if they could obtain a career in autonomous truck driving, and 58% of women are interested in learning new skills that would allow them to work in the AI-sector.
About 48% of women said they would take a job in autonomous trucking if they knew it would have a positive impact on the environment
Of the women who were not interested in a trucking career, 38% indicated they are overqualified for the job and 38% said the salary is too low.
Of the survey participants, 58% were between the age of 18 and 39.
