ULC Robotics’ unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) was developed for commercial utility aerial inspections. The vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing UAV (also known as a drone) offers a 10-foot wingspan and sensor payload capacity of 10 pounfd for conduting fully-autonomous aerial inspections and assessments of a variety on transmission lines, pipelines, and other utility structures.

The company is working with multiple gas and electric utilities to gather data on utility infrastructure through test flights and pilot programs. By collecting this information, ULC can integrate a variety of sensor and monitoring payloads into the VTOL platform.
