STRATTEC Security Corporation offers BOLT Receiver Locks for Class I through Class V hitches.

BOLT Receiver Locks feature the company's patented one-key lock technology that is designed to permanently program the lock to the specific vehicle's ignition key, eliminating the need for multiple keys.  Here's how the technology works: When drivers insert their ignition key into the lock cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key.  The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to only that key.  When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position.  When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.

The Receiver Locks are plated with a cast zinc cylinder and case for superior corrosion resistance.  They feature a durable, stainless steel pin; a rugged cover jacket and automotive-grade lock shutter to keep out weather and debris; and a six-plate tumbler sidebar that prevents picking and bumping.

"In addition to the improved security our BOLT technology provides, we're able to deliver one-key convenience for towers who travel with boats, jet skis or four wheelers, which is an invaluable benefit for busy enthusiasts," said Sales Manager Erika Garcia.

STRATTEC offers a 5/8" Receiver Lock, which is ideal for most trucks and SUVs with a Class III, Class IV and Class V hitch, as well as a 1/2" Receiver Lock that fits Class I and Class II hitches.  A longer pin is available for the new GM heavy-duty hitches.

BOLT Receiver Locks work with most General Motors, Ford and Chrysler/Jeep vehicles on the road today.  Additional locks such as padlocks, cable locks and spare tire locks are also available.  For more information, visit boltlock.com.
