This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Custom Truck, better known as “Quicksilver,” is a 2014 Barrett-Jackson Cup winner and has been recognized as “one of the finest custom truck builds of all times,” according to Barrett-Jackson Auction House. These honors came with a hefty price tag, and the truck was sold for $214,500 in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2016. Nearly everything on this vehicle, from the 540 Big Block, 650-horsepower Chevy engine, to the handmade and reshaped body panels, was customized by Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs, Okla.

Chanje's Medium-Duty Electric Van

Chanje Energy unveiled its Class 5 battery-electric commercial van at an Oct. 18 media and customer event in Fullerton, Calif. 2017 Fleet Safety Conference

The 2017 Fleet Safety Conference opened Tuesday with a keynote from the National Safety Council's Deborah Hersman, who also spoke on Monday at an NTSB-NSC roundtable about advanced driver assistance systems. Safety awards were given at a luncheon. The second day of the conference featured a session from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - TSA regarding security threats against transportation fleets. Ford added a 10-speed transmission to its F-150 for the 2017 model year.

Ford has introduced one of the most advanced transmissions on the market with its 2017 F-150 pickup. The 10-speed automatic transmission improves fuel economy to 25 mpg on the highway for the rear-wheel pickup and 23 mpg highway for the 4x4 model.
