Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling approximately 483 Nissan Titan and Titan XD 2016 to 2018 vehicles due to an increased risk in crashing by way of vehicle overload.

Installed accessories for these trucks reduced their load carrying capacity, yet a Load Carrying Capacity modification label was not installed. With this scenario, a vehicle could be inadvertently overloaded which increases the risk of a crash.

To fix the problem, Nissan will notify owners and provide a new modification label, with installation instructions, at no cost to owners.

The recall begins on June 16. Vehicle owners can reach Nissan customer service at (800) 867-7669.
