National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc. (NTTC), a trade association that specializes in bulk transportation services, recognized Gemini at its Annual Conference Safety Award Luncheon this week. Representatives from Gemini accepted The Harvison Division North American Safety Champion Award.

The NTTC’s North American Safety Awards recognizes the best tank truck industry safety programs in two different mileage divisions. Gemini Motor Transport won the over 40-million miles category with an accident frequency of 0.291 accidents per million miles.

“Delivering fuel is our primary job, but safety is our top priority,” said Brent Bergevin, vice president of transportation for Gemini. “Hundreds of Gemini’s professional drivers log millions of miles per year, and maintaining safety on the roadways is crucial to the integrity of our company. It takes all of us working together to maintain our excellent standard of safety, so we share this recognition with Gemini’s support staff at the corporate office and our drivers in the field.”

Every year, Gemini rewards drivers for maintaining a high level of safety. Earlier this year, Gemini recognized the third class of Safe Driver Credits recipients. The company distributed more than $1.12 million in bonuses to drivers who remained accident-free and met Gemini’s strict safety policies and procedures for five years. Gemini has awarded more than $6.3 million in Safe Driver Credits to drivers since 2016.
