Ameren Illinois showed off some of its equipment, including trucks, trailers, and drones. The utility exhibited a mobile storm trailer, mobile substation, vapor extraction unit for natural gas leaks, and bucket truck, reports The Belleville News-Democrat. The newest addition to the utility is a drone, used to inspect power lines and poles and survey damage.

The 53-ft. mobile storm trailer includes 217 types of parts and supplies and a generator. It has enough to build 100 poles, with every part in stock except the poles themselves, reports The Telegraph. At the event, the utility also offered emergency preparedness tips, with examples of what should be stored.
