GovPlanet, IronPlanet's online marketplace for used government surplus, is auctioning three High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), or Humvees, and donating the proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation.

The foundation operates a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. GovPlanet will donate its portion of the proceeds from the sale.

The Humvees will be sold at a five-day auction in Kissimmee, Fla., from Feb. 9-11. The vehicles include a 1985 AM General Humvee HMMWV (item #685587) on Feb. 9, 1994 AM General M998A1 Humvee HMMWV (Item # 677238) on Feb. 10, and 1994 AM General M998 Humvee HMMWV (item #680284) on Feb. 11.

Interested buyers can register at GovPlanet.com or IronPlanet.com. Each Humvee is covered by IronPlanet's IronClad Assurance equipment condition certification that gives buyers the confidence to buy online knowing that the condition of the equipment is as reported, according to the company.

The Humvees will be on site in Orlando, Florida at 5000 Oren Brown Rd., Kissimmee, Fla., Feb. 8-12.The auction starts at 9 a.m. East Coast time each day. The auction will feature more than 2,200 pieces of quality equipment.
