Ford Recalls F-150 Pickups for Steering
The North American recall affects 12,328 2015 model-year Ford F-150 pickup trucks at risk for steering loss.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 12,328 2015 model-year Ford F-150 pickup trucks in North America because of a potential steering control issue, the automaker said.
An upper I-shaft, which might have been riveted improperly, is at risk for separating. If that occurs, the driver could lose steering control without warning.
Ford noted it doesn't know of any accidents or injuries linked to the issue. However, the company is aware of one reported instance of steering loss believed to be related to this condition.
The recalled trucks were built at the Kansas City Assembly Plant from March 19-21, and at the Dearborn Truck Plant from March 21-30.
A total of 8,963 of the trucks are in the U.S. and federalized territories, and 3,348 are in Canada. The remaining 17 are in Mexico. Of those, 6,722 vehicles are unsold. But 5,606 trucks are in the possession of customers.
Dealers will inspect the upper I-shaft assembly and replace it, if necessary. There will be no charge to the customer.
