As if the dangers of working out of a bucket truck weren't enough, a 60-year-old DTE contract employee was shot April 22 by a BB gun while disconnecting power to an illegal power supply, according to several news sources.

The residents at the home where he disconnected the wiring had rigged electrical wire to distribute free power to their home. The worker went up in the bucket truck to cut the jury-rigged lines and was grazed in the arm by a pellet from a BB gun. He sustained only a minor injury.

Police did not arrest anyone in connection to the BB gun shooting, reported mlive.com. However, one individual was taken into custody for energy theft, according to the Detroit News.
