Brenda Amerson, the alleged drunk driver of the vehicle that killed a utility worker Feb. 6 in Kentucky, is facing a grand jury, according to Local 12 WKRC-TV.

A Boone County judge held a preliminary hearing for Amerson last month.

Amerson, who was allegedly drunk during the accident, crashed her car into 30-year-old worker, Joel Rebennack, and then hit the back of the utility truck about 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. Emergency crews took Amerson St. Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries.

Rebennack was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Another utility worker in the bucket of the truck was not injured.

Amerson is charged with manslaughter, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief, reported Local 12.
